A Little Author News: I’m Featured in Women’s Insider Magazine!

As an author, most of my days aren't particularly glamorous. They're spent at my computer with a cup of coffee nearby, disappearing into fictional worlds and spending an unreasonable amount of time worrying about vampires who do not technically exist.

At least, that's what people keep telling me.

There are books to write, characters to argue with, plots to untangle, covers to design, books to edit and launches to plan—and always another story or two beginning to whisper before I've quite finished the one I'm working on.

And I absolutely love it.

That's why moments like this feel especially wonderful. I can appreciate this strange, unexpected, incredibly rewarding journey I've been on as an author.

But I also know I haven't taken that journey alone.

Every reader who has picked up one of my books, fallen for one of my vampires, recommended a series to a friend, written a review, joined my newsletter, followed me on social media, or sent me a message about a character they loved has become part of it.

You are the reason I get to keep telling these stories.

And believe me, I have a lot more stories I want to tell.

There are new vampires waiting in the wings, new worlds taking shape, and more than a few dark and dangerous men already demanding my attention. Apparently, fictional vampires are not known for their patience.

For today, though, I'm simply going to enjoy this lovely moment and say thank you to Women’s Insider for featuring me—and thank you to all of you for being here to celebrate it with me.
